A list for Fairlight

Or things only my roommate cares about -

1) I'm wondering if the problem with my internet is the wireless card inside the USB router. Like the router is working and that's why it says it's connected but it can't find my computer because the wireless card is malfunctioning. We know my dear old computer doesn't have a wireless card inside it so I'm thinking Claire bought the USB router so that everything would work. (I'm wondering if I should broadcast my total computer ignorance on the Internet.)

2) We now not only live in an apartment complex where people randomly tear open trash bags in the dumpster; we are also blessed to have been solicited by a random young guy with some sort of scam. I'm pretty sure it was a scam anyway because he had this supposed authenticity certificate for what he was doing (selling magazines and books I think or asking people to grade his politeness or whatever it was to get points to help pay for his college) was just some obviously homemade sheet covered in contact paper. Also, I think he should have tried harder with his story, "your neighbors have been helping me along at least the ones who speak English since many of them speak Spanish." Ummm, you live here too and you know that assertion is patently false. Maybe you should consider getting into this business. It could help you pay for school, too. Honestly, I think I probably should have called the police (couldn't call the office since it was already closed) but I had no idea how to handle that. I mean, definitely not calling 911 to say "there's a kid wearing a baseball cap and windbreaker going door to door in my apartment complex trying to sell something." I guess I'll just ask Jeff tonight.
P.S. - To calm the fears of anyone who hasn't seen where I live, it's beautiful and perfectly safe (personally approved by Fairlight's police officer brother) but there are strange people everywhere.

3) I changed my winter clothes for my summer clothes today.

4) Your alarm clock woke me up at 6:30 this morning. :)

5) The pile of magazines that's been sitting in the floor since my "freak out and go through all the paper in all the baskets in the kitchen and living room" has now migrated to the dumpster.

6) Apparently, if I ever live alone in San Antonio, I will write lots of emails and blog posts, watch crime shows religiously, make many phone calls, take a walk everyday, and clean like a maniac.

7) A year and a half ago you did something that touched me more than I've ever been able to tell you. You took that goofy little ornament that says "Believe" and knowing I needed to see it figured out a way to aesthetically put it up even though it was too small and didn't go with anything else. Lest you doubt me, there are tears in my eyes as I'm typing this.

8) Tell Claire I said hi and have a marvelous mini-vacation in St. Louis.

9) And in case you didn't already know this about me, I tend to put my business out where everybody can know about it. :)
